History:
Vincent’s Italian Cuisine “Uptown” (located just two blocks off of Carrollton Avenue) is nestled amongst the Oak trees lining the historic St. Charles Avenue streetcar line. (Stop 42) This landmark, known by many, has been serving the Uptown area of New Orleans for over 100 years. Dominick & Rose Compagno opened and operated “Compagno’s Restaurant” in this location from 1929 – 1960, then passed it on to the next generation, Sal & Maria Compagno. The Compagno family legacy continued, providing fine cuisine to tourists and locals alike until 1998.

In 1998, Vincent Catalanotto and Anthony Imbraguglio acquired this historic establishment and opened Vincent’s Italian Cuisine, maintaining the same level of excellence and fine dining that New Orleaneans have enjoyed for so many years. We are proud to bring you our 5-star Italian cuisine with a New Orleans twist. Come in and enjoy our casual yet cozy dining atmosphere while the sounds of Jerry Vale, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra fill the air of this candle lit neighborhood restaurant. Dining reservations are available but not required. Whether you join us for lunch or dinner, our friendly staff and a culinary delight await you.

Here at Vincent’s Italian Cuisine “Uptown” we understand and speak the language of love. Our romantic ambiance and intimate setting have allowed us the privilege of witnessing countless marriage proposals and other special life changing events for so many wonderful people. There is nothing more memorable than the feeling of love that fills the air when having the honor of witnessing such an important milestone in someone’s life. Whether you would like your engagement ring brought to your table in a glass of sparkling champagne, or you have a special request, we are happy to accommodate you. We can help you create the evening that is as special as your dreams! Please give us a call ahead and let us assist you with your plans.

Private Parties:
Our private dining room is available for your next special occasion and can accommodate groups of 15 to 22 people. Reservations are required. (This room is not available for private parties on Friday or Saturday evenings.)

Special Accommodations:
Special accommodations are offered to any group of 40 or more people who would like to be seated between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. We will provide you with immediate seating at individual tables. Groups joining us during this time may order off of our regular menu or our special groups menu. The choice is yours! These special group arrangements require 48 hours notice and all parties must be seated no later than 6:00 p.m. for dinner. This option is especially nice for tour bus groups or large parties not requiring banquet style seating.

Catering/Offsite Parties:
We proudly offer our catering services to complement your offsite parties or events. If desired, we can also provide the staff necessary to assist you in making your function a success.
